Invisible Currents

“It’s so dark right now, I can’t see any light around me.
That’s because the light is coming from you. You can’t see it but everyone else can.”
― Lang Leav, Love & Misadventure

No promise tied to open sky,
no map pinned on the wind—
just a current rising sudden
beneath wings too worn to mend.

The air was never meant to keep,
just lift what faltered low—
to carry form through hush and height,
then let it choose to go.

No flock, no call to follow,
no trace once they divide—
only the hush where motion was,
and a clearer view inside.

Now flight is not a tethered thing,
nor bound to who began—
but sometimes grace arrives unseen,
and leaves you where you stand.
